In 1967, the first Slumberland store opened in Minnesota. Unlike most furniture
stores, we started as a mattress and La-Z-Boy specialty shop. Making people comfortable,
with our products and our prices, has been our first priority, right from the beginning.
Over time, we've expanded our merchandise categories as well as our store count.

Our Total Satisfaction Guarantee
Furniture Purchases
If you are not satisfied with the appearance, fit or feel of your furniture purchase,
you are entitled to a one-time exchange (applicable delivery fees will be charged
to you). If you have concerns about the condition of your purchase, our service
team will work with you to correct the problem (see If You Need Service). Or, if
you prefer, we will refund your money (less delivery charges) on merchandise returned
in its original condition within 30 days of delivery/pick-up with valid sales receipt.
Applicable delivery fees on merchandise returns will be charged to you. Guarantee
does not apply to comforters, linens, pillows, Protect-All mattress pads, special
order items or AS IS, Outlet and Clearance merchandise.
Mattress Purchases
Our satisfaction guarantee is 60 nights for mattresses provided a Protect-All
mattress protector is purchased with the mattress. Because it can take time to
adjust to the feel of a new mattress, we recommend that you sleep on your new
mattress for at least 30 nights. After that time, if you are not comfortable, we will
be happy to assist you with a one-time reselection. If your reselection is of lesser
value than your original purchase, the difference will be applied to a store credit.
Should it be necessary to return your mattress or mattress set, store credit (less
delivery charges) will be given; there are no refunds on mattress purchases or
Protect-All mattress protectors. Guarantee does not apply to adjustable power
bases, special order sizes (twin XL, full XL and California King), AS IS, Outlet or
Clearance merchandise. Applicable delivery fees on exchanges or returns will be
charged to you.
A valid receipt is required on refunds and exchanges.
Our Low Price Guarantee
Our goal is to provide you with the very best value around. If, within 30 days of
your purchase, you find a local competitor offering a lower price on the same displayed
item, we will refund the difference after verification of the other store’s price
and product availability.
If You Need Service
Slumberland is committed to your satisfaction. If you have any concerns about the
condition of your merchandise, our team of service professionals will address your
claim according to the following guidelines:
Visible Damage
While we take every step possible to handle your merchandise with care, occasionally
damage does occur during shipping or handling. Please inspect your purchase promptly
after you receive it and report any visible damage within 5 days to our Service
Department. After 5 days, any applicable delivery, service and repair fees will
be charged to you.
Manufacturer Defects
Slumberland guarantees 90 days of free service on merchandise with manufacturing
defects. Please report any defects to our Service Department within 90 days of delivery.
After 90 days, any applicable delivery, service and repair fees will be charged
to you.
Upon receiving a claim, we will work with you to determine the appropriate course
of action which may include one or more of the following: 1) inspect damaged merchandise
in your home 2) provide service in your home or our warehouse at our discretion
3) repair or replace the part or merchandise at our discretion.
IMPORTANT NOTES:
1. Upholstery – Dye lots on display fabrics and sample swatches may differ from
the products actually delivered by the manufacturer. Because leather is a natural
material, surface marks and color variances are a sign the leather is genuine.
2. Wood products – Wood solids and veneers show unique variations in grain qualities
on the same piece of furniture. Blemishes and imperfections are innate to real wood
surfaces and demonstrate authenticity.
3. Accessories – Please carefully inspect all pictures, lamps and other accessories
before you leave the store. We do not service take-with accessory items.
4. Warranties – Slumberland honors extended manufacturer warranties and will
provide professional service in the event of any claims. Applicable transportation
and service fees will be charged to you.
Refunds
Check payments will be refunded by check a minimum of 10 business days after initial
payment has been received. Cash payments will be refunded by check. Bankcard payments
will only be credited back to the bankcard from which original payment was made. If
that card cannot be produced for refund, you have the option of receiving a
Slumberland Gift Card in the refund amount, or leaving the balance "On Account"
with Slumberland. Financed payments will be refunded to your Wells Fargo Slumberland
card. If that account has been closed, or the balance has been paid off, Wells Fargo
will be responsible for issuing a refund.
Home Delivery
Our delivery professionals have one goal in mind: to bring your purchase to your
home with efficiency and care. To help us achieve our goal, there are a few things
you can do prior to your delivery:
1. Remove pictures, mirrors, plants and tables from the path of the delivery.
2. Remove any breakable objects from the general delivery path and destination room.
3. Have the set-up area for the new furniture clear of other furniture and accessories.
4. New furniture often seems larger in your home than in the store setting. Taking
one final measurement before delivery is recommended if you are concerned about
space/size.
IF YOU CANNOT BE HOME FOR YOUR DELIVERY:
1. Leave a key in a safe place for our delivery people. After the delivery, they
will lock the key in your home.
2. A neighbor, apartment manager, or family member could help. If you choose this
option, we need his/her address and/or phone number.
3. Our delivery people can call you one hour before reaching your home to give you
time to meet them.
Special Order Merchandise
A non-refundable down payment is required on all special order merchandise. In the
event of defect or damage, our Service Team will work with you to correct the problem.
Please remember that special order merchandise is being created just for you; estimated
arrival times are approximate and not guaranteed.

Customer Pickups
Before picking up your purchase at the store or warehouse, please call the number
provided by your sales associate and let us know you are coming. Your phone call
will help us verify that your merchandise is ready and minimize potential waiting
time for you. Should you need to exchange or return merchandise originally picked
up, it will be your responsibility to transport the merchandise to & from the store
or warehouse. Otherwise, a delivery charge will apply.
Regular Showroom Closeout
& Display Merchandise
Unless it is marked “AS IS,” closeout and display merchandise purchased from our
regular showrooms will include full service and the manufacturer’s warranty. All
sales are final on “AS IS” merchandise. Thank you for helping us keep our merchandise
up to date by having your closeout or display purchase picked up or delivered within
14 days of purchase.
Clearance Center & Outlet Merchandise
Merchandise purchased from a designated Clearance Center or Outlet may be exchanged
or returned for store credit within 24 hours of purchase. After 24 hours, Clearance
Center and Outlet purchases are final. Unless otherwise noted, manufacturer warranties
and our Total Satisfaction Guarantee do not apply to Clearance Center or Outlet
merchandise.
Why Some Prices Are Not Available
Because we serve a variety of trade areas and due to our low pricing structure,
some manufacturers have requested that we not post our prices on the Web. Please
contact your local Slumberland for information on an item with no pricing available.
