No, they are not the same. Full mattresses, also called double mattresses, are larger and can accommodate two people. Twin mattresses, also called single mattresses, can accommodate one person. They are used where space is limited.

The dimensions of a standard twin mattress are 38 inches in width (3 feet, 2 inches) and 75 inches in length (6 feet, 3 inches).

If you have a car with fold-down seats or a spacious trunk, it's possible that a twin could fit with some maneuvering. But, you may need to measure the interior dimensions of your car to determine if it will fit.
